The cars would have become 4,000 to 5,000 euros more expensive to meet the planned regulations, he says and would actually rather talk about the VW ID 7, which Volkswagen is presenting to the press in Provence.
He is proud of the new top model; it makes electric mobility suitable for long distances and comfortable. The ID 7 is one of eleven electric cars that VW will introduce by 2027. From 2035, VW only wants to offer electric cars in Europe. Schäfer did not rule out the fact that there will still be combustion engines from VW in other markets.
