the cold was hard
“What happened that day got out of hand. It rained hard, the temperature was low, the clothes were not correct, so that set of things made us hypothermic. Everything happened very quickly and in an unexpected way,” Frank Osorio told Caracol.
And I add: “At a certain point, I couldn’t control my body. That’s why, even though I was in the main group, I decided that the best thing to do was to pull over to the side of the road, stop for a bit and see if I could recover because I knew that if I continued as I was, something terrible could happen, like a fall on a descent, a fracture or something really unfortunate ”.
Osorio said that he stayed in the group, but that at times he lost his mind, he just pedaled.
“To be honest, I was on the lot all the time, but for everything I felt and lived, there are things I don’t remember. Consciously or unconsciously, I made the decision to stop because, in truth, I do not remember several moments. It was very strange and maybe the only thing I thought about was to prevent something ugly from happening, either with me or with one of the others, “he sentenced.
