The three formations reject the technical assistance in this matter that the municipal government plans to award
“Public procurement in Murcia does not work.” This was defended for the umpteenth time yesterday by the popular councilor Eduardo Martínez-Oliva in the course of the municipal plenary session. The news about this statement, the usual thrown weapon of the PP against the vice mayor Mario Gómez, came from the hand of the municipal groups of Vox and Podemos, which aligned themselves on this point with the popular ones. “It systematically paralyzes everything that is in its sphere of action,” said mayor Inmaculada Ortega, from Santiago Abascal’s party. “It is clear that there is a problem, because the contracts have not just come out and plenary session after plenary session we have to approve debt acknowledgments and objections,” added the spokesman for the purple formation, Ginés Ruiz.
All these considerations came in the course of the debate on a PP motion, which went ahead with the support of these three parties, and in which the municipal government was urged to “cancel the technical assistance service for innovation and development of public procurement procedures in the City Council ”. “Our ears get stiff when we talk about outsourcing this service, although we do not understand the surprise, when the taxes were already done,” added Ruiz, while Ortega added that these issues must be solved with “personnel restructuring.”
The Corporation approved yesterday to oppose the file of alteration of the municipal terms of Murcia and Sewer. Municipal sources assure that the previous Executive signed by mistake a report in which the Consistory of Sewer questions who two border points belong to. The City Council assures that seven more must be studied.
The start of the expropriations of the Barriomar land where the Metropolitan Park of the West is to be attacked and the rest of the Malecón deterrent also received the green light yesterday.
Vox’s motion on aid to large families by subsidizing the IBI did not go ahead, despite the support shown by the mayor of Cs Pedro García Rex, since Mario Gómez voted ‘no’ in a delegated manner. Then he attributed it to an error.
For his part, Gómez responded that this technical assistance “does not seek to outsource anything”, but to advise officials to speed up these tasks and spoke of “insufficient resources.” On the other hand, the popular also accused Gómez in another motion of being late for the works in the schools, “which have not started in the majority of centers.” There was no concrete response to this claim.
