In the 2021 election to elect the 22 majority deputies, one million 300 thousand 347 thousand voters participated, that is, 46.05 percent of the Nominal List of that date. For the parties and candidates there were one million 300 thousand 716 votes; for unregistered candidates there were 830 and they counted 46,436 null votes, 3.4 percent of the total.
On Sunday, June 2 of this year, one million 525 thousand 172 votes corresponded to the officially registered candidates; 930 votes for unregistered candidates and 87,279 null votes, 5.4 percent of the total.
Citizen participation in the election of the 22 state electoral districts favored Morena in the absolute number of votes. With eight districts won in alliance with the Labor Party, the vote in 2021 went from 387 thousand votes, 28.7 percent of the total, to 637 thousand votes, 39.4 percent of the total registered.
The Labor Party went from having obtained 24,764 votes in the election three years ago, to adding 50,173 votes, so it went from having 1.8 percent of the total to 3.1 percent.
The Green Ecologist Party, which at the federal level was an ally of Morena, but in the state elections participated without a coalition, went from 37,107 votes, 2.7 percent of the total, to achieving 3.6 percent of the total votes, with 58 thousand 305.
In contrast, the PAN had obtained 34.7 percent of the total vote in the 22 districts of the state in the elections three years ago, that is, 468,696 votes, but in this year’s election it fell to a vote of 408. 1,360, that is, 25.3 percent of the total.
The PRI, which ran as an ally of the PAN and the PRD, went from 173,138 votes obtained in the 2021 election to 162,124 votes in this year’s process, losing almost three percent of the total, go from 12.8 percent of the vote to 10 percent.
