Angostura, Sinaloa.- Elements of the Fire brigade of Angostura dissatisfied with the hiring of the three new membersas announced by Juan Alberto Gutiérrez, who has worked voluntarily for eight years at the Angostura Fire Station.
For years, disagreements have arisen due to the neglect on the part of their commander José Humberto Romo Valenzuela and the president of the Firefighters Board, Aurelio Lugo, as they assured the “smoke swallowers” that they have not received the required support, such as lack of renewal of equipment and hiring of personnel.
On this last point it was clarified that three new elements would be integrated into the unit, however, some workers expressed dissatisfaction, since according to their argument many of the volunteers were not taken into account for hiring despite the large number of years providing community service.
“They did not take into account either the base firefighters or much of the volunteers who have many serving and training to give the best to the people of Angostura,” said Juan Alberto Gutiérrez.
He added that only one of the three contracted firefighters has the experience and knowledge, since he has served as a volunteer for several years, but he assured that the others only served for a few months.

“I challenge the commander to teach me some operational maneuver or to show me how to use the breathing equipment, because he has only been working as an administrative and rarely goes to duty, he is not a commander himself,” said the firefighter.
