VALLEPA defeated Savo Volley’s 3–0 men’s volleyball in the seventh final of the Champions League in Kuopio on Saturday in front of 2,700 spectators, and thus Janne Kangaskokon the coach coached took the fourth consecutive championship victories 4–3.

President and CEO of VaLePa Hanna Arve-Talvitie had time on Thursday to think that the championship can finally be celebrated in the home hall. It didn’t happen, but on Saturday night it certainly didn’t bother anyone. So many VaLePan fans had traveled to Kuopio.

Although VALPE won the championship almost entirely with domestic forces, still a German midfielder Sebastian Rösler and an Italian chipper Alberto Cavasin may continue next season. There are no sure departures anyway.

“We have worked closely with the duo’s clubs, Friedrichshafen and Trentino. Other clubs have already asked them for next season. Cavasink did well in the Champions League, and our main goal next year is to participate and succeed in European fields, ”Arve-Talvitie emphasized.

Arve-Talvitie believes that VaLePA will have good foreigners on the team next season as well.

“New players are coming, names will be announced later. Foreign clubs want to develop their young players in Finland. The clubs know that the young people get playing time here and develop because there are a lot of matches, ”Arve-Talvitie emphasized.

Savo Volley seegalegendat Olli-Pekka Ojansivu and Antti Siltala announced before the finals that they would end their careers in the league this season.

After the match, many emotional moments were seen in Kuopio Hall. Siltala and Ojansivu hugged the whole team, and no one was far away in tears.

Savo Volley’s manager Timo Perälä said that Timo Tolvanen is my favorite next season coach.

“Negotiations have taken place and will continue, he is the number one option,” Perälä said.

The follow-up contract for next season is a passari for the current team Ilya Ivanovillachipper Veika at Lindqvist and midfielder Alexei Zhbankovilla.
