Obaid Muftah, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Wahda Sports Club, confirmed the return of handball and volleyball to the club for the first team only in the new season, noting that it is an important step to restore the two games completely in the remaining stages during the coming years.
Obaid Muftah said: “The formation of the basic structure for the two games has begun at the present time through the use of the services of former players from the club’s sons, as they have been contacted and invited again to join the training, in preparation for returning to prepare for the upcoming competitions, through internal camps at the present time, with the selection of the appropriate technical and administrative devices for this stage.”
He added: “We spoke with the players that the goal in the new season is to restore the game to its former glory, and to re-establish it again after years of interruption that lasted for 3 seasons for various reasons, and that the first team will be a direct reason for the rest of the stages to return to activity again, after the forced disappearance.”
Obaid Muftah said: “There is a great desire from the players and the technical and administrative staff for the upcoming challenge, through full commitment to training and showing high spirit in the matches.”
