Service. The official dealer’s facilities host a training session for the Murcia Traffic Accident Rescue Group
Summer is the time of year that concentrates the largest number of road trips and, therefore, it is necessary to take extreme precautions when going on a trip. With this objective, the Volkswagen Huertas Motor facilities recently hosted a training session on electric vehicle accidents, which have an increasing number of units on our roads, according to sales data throughout Spain.
The Murcia Traffic Accident Rescue Group participated in these talks which, under the title ‘Safety Days in Vehicle Rescue in Vehicles with Different Propulsions’, served to deepen the safety of electric vehicles. During the appointment, the members of the specialized team of the rescue group learned how to de-energize an electric vehicle in the event of an accident. For this, the electric models ID.3 and ID.4 were used that the Huertas Motor dealer made available to the specialists.
As explained during the day, although in the event of an accident involving an electric car the risks are similar to those involving combustion vehicles, this safety session allowed us to know how to eliminate some specifics caused by the presence of a high voltage battery.
And is that with the arrival on the roads of the new electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids, specialists have to go a step beyond their protocols to be prepared in case of any type of problems with these models.
“How could it be otherwise, from Volkswagen Huertas Motor we are very committed to road safety. This is an essential aspect for everyone and any training in this regard is always welcome. We thank the Murcia Traffic Accident Rescue Group for visiting our Murcia facilities to celebrate a day from which we have all learned. We wish them much encouragement in their daily work ”, pointed out Enrique Ferrer, Manager of the dealership.
Volkswagen was one of the first brands to push electric mobility. The German brand has two 100% electric vehicles such as the ID.3 and the ID.4, with different bodies and different segments, but similar in their conception and philosophy: that of contributing to an emission-free future. Both vehicles have all the advantages of having an environmental label from the DGT. You can meet them at Huertas Motor.
