50 days of eruption: no end in sight
The eruption of the La Palma volcano has completed 50 days since its beginning with the feeling that the end is not yet in sight. In the last days there was the feeling that it could go down, but experts have already warned that there are no indications to be sure nor predict when the end will come.
In the 50 days of eruption, lava flows cover 992 hectares and have affected 2,719 buildings, most of them destroyed. Scientists insist that volcanic processes are changeable and can have phases of greater or lesser activity, without it having ceased.
