Massimo Adriatici would have fired the gunshot that killed Youns El Boussetaoui after being pushed by the man of Moroccan origin. This was reported by investigative sources. As for the hypothesis formulated by a witness of throwing a bottle by the victim on Adriatici, the same sources state that “it could have been thrown into the air by Boussetaoui, not directly on the councilor”. El Bousseatoui was not armed. Adriatici claims to have fired the shot by mistake. The commissioner and lawyer will remain under house arrest at least until the hearing to validate the arrest, which could be set between tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.
For him the prosecutor hypothesized theaccusation of culpable excess of self-defense: according to his version of events, the gunshot that killed the immigrant would have started involuntarily while he was falling. According to an eyewitness, Youns Boussetai, the victim, during a dispute he would have thrown a bottle of beer that he was drinking on Adriatici, before the commissioner phoned the police to warn that the man was bothering the customers of the ‘Ligure’ bar. To relate this testimony is Adrian R., an inhabitant of Voghera of Albanian origin who arrived when Boussetai had died a few minutes ago.
“I went to the square to see what had happened because my son had heard gunshots – this is his story – after a few minutes the ambulance arrived. I saw a plainclothes person, who I think was Adriatici, I I don’t know him, who was talking to the carabinieri who seemed calm to me. Then a man who was there told me that the victim had asked Adriatici: ‘Why don’t you say hello to me?’ And he threw the bottle at him. At that point, the commissioner told him he would call the police. Then there was a fight between them and the commissioner fired “.
According to what is learned, initially the magistrate had accepted the accusation of the crime of murder hypothesized by the carabinieri then, having carried out some preliminary activities including listening to witnesses and interrogating Adriatici, the accusation became less severe. The culpable excess of self-defense occurs when, criminal code in hand, “the right proportion between offense and defense fails due to fault, understood as an inexcusable error following imprudence, or inexperience in calculating the danger and the means of salvation”.
The commissioner has self-suspended from office “until the outcome of the trial that sees him under investigation”, explained the mayor of Voghera, Paola Garlaschelli, but in the meantime the affair has immediately become a political case. “If it were true that the subject who unfortunately died was already known and arch-known to the police and traders and citizens of Voghera, obviously it was not a settling of scores. this case, if so, is always and in any case legitimate “, commented the Northern League secretary Matteo Salvini in a video on social media.
The Democratic Party thinks differently. “What happened last night in Voghera – affirms senator Alan Ferrari, deputy vice president of the senators of the Democratic Party – is something very serious and worrying. Now the facts will be ascertained, but in a civilized and democratic country a councilor does not shoot a person. I hope that the League will soon distance itself from Adriatici’s gesture. Do-it-yourself justice has no citizenship in our laws and in our coexistence “.
