Michel-Pierre-Louis, President of the Focal Foundation for Knowledge and Freedom, the humanitarian organization in the Republic of Haiti, who was honored with the Zayed Prize for Human Fraternity in its 2022 edition, confirmed that the award constitutes an international recognition of her country’s role in promoting and consolidating the principles of human fraternity.
On the sidelines of announcing the names of those honored with the award yesterday, the head of the Focal Foundation said: The award is the culmination of a 27-year journey of continuous work to preserve human dignity and support all segments of society “women, children and youth” and give them the opportunity to access education, culture and sports by offering Many active programs and initiatives.
She added that education is the main objective of the Focal Knowledge and Freedom Foundation, as many of the noble values we believe in can be achieved and consolidated through the education process, starting from the early childhood stage to the higher education stage.
Michel noted that the foundation has programs with smallholder farmers trying to combat food insecurity, as well as a program for media and artists.
