Experts plan to restore the power supply of Vladivostok residents, disrupted by the cyclone, within three days, reported on Saturday, November 21, at website government of Primorye.
The director of the Vladivostok electric network enterprise Mikhail Nikulenko at a meeting with the regional governor Oleg Kozhemyako said that 21 central heating points have not yet been connected in Vladivostok, these are the Churkin, Rybny Port, Okatova, Cape Goldobin areas.
“We are gradually delivering diesel electrical installations to these heating points, which will autonomously power them, and gradually connect residents and other enterprises. We will roughly complete all the work within three days, ”Nikulenko said.
On the night of November 19, in the Primorsky Territory, precipitation began in the form of rain, which turned into snow and freezing rain. The bad weather caused the breaks of power lines, falling trees and structures in the south of the region. On Friday, a regional emergency regime was introduced in Primorye.
As a result of the bad weather, more than 600 houses were left without heating in Vladivostok. In the city, 205 damages were recorded on the power grids, about 200 power transmission poles were damaged, which provide lighting on the streets, over 4.5 thousand trees were felled. A temporary accommodation center was opened for people who were left without heat and light.
