Mexico City.- Viviana Lugo Perez disappeared without a trace near her work in Lagunilla in Mexico City, on June 20, 2020. Dona Martina, her mother, assures that she has experienced an ordeal in the search for her daughter and feels that the authorities do not nothing to give her.
The 27-year-old girl disappeared near the Lagunilla market, where she used to rent a room a few steps from her work for approximately three months.
Doña Martina told local media that her daughter stayed a few days at her house, located in Lomas de Tecámac, because she was given a break due to the pandemic. After that short stay, she returned to her normal activities and disappeared without a trace.
The woman specified that at the end of the rest days, on June 20, 2020, her daughter returned to Mexico City. As the days passed, he no longer heard from Viviana, despite the fact that he tried to contact her by phone calls and text messages.
On June 22, Viviana’s friends called Doña Martina to inform her that her daughter had not shown up for work for days and they wanted to know about her.
This call set off the warning signs of the mother, who immediately tried to call her daughter, but realized that her phone was turned off. Given the impossibility of contacting her, he began looking for her with friends and family without obtaining positive results.
The owner of the property that Viviana used to rent reported that he saw the young woman leave on June 20 and since then he has not seen her return.

After learning of Viviana’s disappearance, Doña Martina filed a complaint with the Justice Center of the Azcapotzalco Mayor’s Office. However, the woman recounts that she only found apathy on the part of the public officials, who, in order not to carry out an immediate search, printed missing persons records, where they indicated that the young woman was last seen in the Técamac. Because of this action, her mother was unable to file a complaint with the Prosecutor’s Office in her town, because there was already an investigation in Mexico City.
He explained that he had to put pressure on the capital authorities to modify their error. But, he pointed out, they are still not looking for his daughter.
