In a few days the investigating judge will decide whether to archive the case of Viviana Parisi and little Gioele: Daniele Mondello and his words on Facebook
The preliminary hearing on the case of Viviana Parisi and the little one Gioele Mondello. One year after the tragedy, the Gip’s decision is close. Daniele Mondello he wanted to break the silence on his social profile, before the final verdict. The man, like the rest of the family, never supported the hypothesis of the Prosecutor of Patti, which asked for the case to be closed as murder-suicide.
Today is a very important day. The hearing that will decide the fate of the truth of that cursed day in which I lost two pieces of my heart forever has ended. Unfortunately, we still don’t know anything, because the investigating judge has decided to take a few days to decide, so I will wait for the verdict.
The husband and father of the two victims then wanted to thank all those who always have it supported and helped to fight for the truth:
In the meantime, in addition to thanking everyone who has been close to me in this long and tortuous journey full of struggles and suffering, I would like to say a special thanks to my lawyers Pietro Venuti and Claudio Mondello. I really want to dedicate this space to them because they have been two fundamental figures on this journey, because they have given me, together with all of you, strength, hope and courage to fight. They have always exposed themselves and fought by my side because like me they too believe that all this cannot end without knowing what really happened.
I have thanked many in recent times who have taken part directly or indirectly in this affair and have been close to my pain, giving me any support, but it was only right to dedicate a space to my knights, my lawyers, who represented Viviana, Joel and me in many situations, against everything and everyone fighting for a single purpose: the truth.
Daniele Mondello does not give up
Daniele Mondello’s lawyers presented opposition to the request for dismissal and as they explained in their interviews, they accompanied it with a long evidence documentation, which would prove that Viviana could not have killed her baby and then committed suicide.
In the courtroom, during the first hearing, the Prosecutor’s Office has not been able to give explanations on the precise cause of the death of little Joel, but reiterated his hypothesis, murder suicide.
Can we accept it? Can we accept that the investigations are closed without having understood it? This is what we fought for until the end. This is what we asked the Judge: justice for those who have no voice and cannot defend themselves.
