The French Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha YZR M 1), ran out of points at the Dutch Grand Prix after suffering a double crash in the MotoGP race, which is why he was very critical of himself when admitting that he made “a stupid mistake because there was no point in risking at that point in the race”.
“Pecco made a good start and also Aleix and I tried to keep close to them, so I braked very late and very hard. My mistake.” the world leader lamented again.

“I have rushed and I have attacked as if it were the last corner of the last lapand in the end I made a rookie mistake and in the end I crashed twice in the same corner, so this is a race to forget,” insists the Yamaha rider.
Quartararo entered his workshop to retire, but there they told him to continue in case it rained and could improve his situation somewhat, and he explained the moment as follows: “The truth is that I do not know very well why I have gone out again; I got in because I noticed that something was wrong with the bike, we have to see, but I noticed a problem with the bike and in the end we got out again or something was wrong but, clearly, if I stop the first time it’s because there was a problem, there was something broken on the bike, I think it was probably the electronic traction control.
“It was not my decision to return to the track, but it was to stop when I noticed that something was not working, but that is another question”, Quartararo stressed.
As for his physical condition, he said that it bothers him “a little the shoulder and my head hurtsbut what annoys me the most is that it was my mistake and I could have achieved a much better result than falling twice and more with the first part of the season that we were doing”, he repeated.
Sincere as always and despite the mistake, Fabio Quartararo pointed out that despite not scoring in the Netherlands “I would have been the leader from here, but it’s still a shame because we could have scored a lot of points in this race and we haven’t, so we have to learn from what we’ve done wrong, but we have to forget this race as quickly as possible.”
