The new edition of Vintage Cars and Motorcycles there was from 21 to 24 October 2021. The historic car show took place as usual in the spaces of Padua Fair and saw news in 115 thousand square meters of exhibition space. In the 2021 edition there were 11 pavilions, 1600 exhibitors, 4 exhibitions and more than 5,000 machines.
In the previous months there was already a boom in bookings for all sectors of the fair, confirmed the presence of major car manufacturers and a very strong international presence. Tickets are already in online selling on the website of the event dedicated to historic cars.
Classic Cars and Motorcycles 2021 program
Which was the program of the Auto and Vintage Motorcycle Show in Padua 2021. Among the novelties there was a special focus dedicated to the adventure of Vintage Motorsport and at racing car which boast more and more fans.
The passion for the Motorsport, he saw 4 exhibitions unpublished and hundreds of models exhibited by dealers and private collections.
It started with ITALY THAT WINS LE RACING, the exhibition dedicated to the Italian brands that have marked the history of competitions, both in the world of cars and in the world of motorcycles. Made in partnership with MAUTO | National Automobile Museum and the Veloce Classic London Collection, the exhibition wanted to introduce the public to the greatest Italian brands of all time with the world-class models that have crossed the finish line of the most important competitions.
Among the cars on display were the very light (620 kg) Lancia-Ferrari D50 of 1955 who won the 1956 world championship with Juan Manuel Fangio at the wheel and the Maserati mod. 26B of 1928, second racing car built by the Maserati brothers in the Bologna workshops.
He won the Italian Marche Championship in 1928, thanks to the success of drivers such as Ernesto Maserati, Baconin Borzacchini, Ajmo Maggi. For motorcycles, the Gilera 500 4-cylinder GP from 1956 who won six world championships between 1950 and 1957.

But Motorsport was not the only novelty for the 2021 edition of Auto e Moto d’Epoca. There was another interesting focus dedicated to the “other” classics: let’s talk about the new car craftsmen and Restomod, one of the latest trends in “creative” restorations, contaminated by modern technologies but maintaining continuity with the past of the historic vehicle. The charm of classic cars therefore, making them current and, why not, more fun.
Restomod retains the charm of classic cars and makes them current. Among the models exhibited in Padua were the Citroën brought from 2CV Méhari Club Cassis which restores erconverts into electric classic cars, such as the two examples he brought to Padua, but also provides the kit electrical conversion R-FIT which allows you to replace the original combustion engine with an electric motor.
Also worth mentioning is made-in-Italy with the Effeffe of the Frigerio Brothers: a tribute to the sporting passion of the 50’s and 60’s entirely handmade.
But the most important restomod exhibited in Padua was that of Miky Biasion who made his Delta Integrale. What would your car look like if it were produced today? Miki Biasion, the man who won two of the six consecutive Lancia Delta world rallies (an unbeaten record) decided to find out by building one.

In Padua there was also an important participation of ASI | Automotoclub Storico Italiano which, for the first time, occupied half of hall 4 together with the numerous federated clubs. ASI VILLAGE was dedicated to the Italian motoring heritage and the Historic Collection of the Bertone Bodywork, recently acquired by ASI which includes 79 specimens between vehicles, chassis and models.
Berone universe was the title of the exhibition composed of cars, which illustrated fifty years of style signed by the famous Turin coachbuilder; from 1967 to the second decade of the 2000s.
Except for the iconic Lamborghini Miura S from 1967, produced in series, are all unique models and concept cars that amazed the world when they were unveiled in the most important international motor shows. Among these the 1972 Citroën Camargue, 1976 Ferrari Rainbow, 1984 Chevrolet Ramarro, 1992 Bertone Bliz, 2004 Aston Martin Jet2 and 2011 Jaguar B99.
In hall 3 there was instead Historical ACI, which presented two thematic exhibitions: i 100 years of the Guzzi brand and the Italian Speed Touring Championship, with theAlfa GTA from ’92 by Alessandro Nannini and the BMW M3 2500 1992 by Roberto Ravaglia.
Also in the ACI stand there was the exhibition Lancia Endurance: the on-track adventure of Launch Martini. The protagonists of the exhibition are the three track Lancias of the Macaluso Foundation: the Beta Montecarlo, the LC1 and the LC2 in the classic Martini Racing livery.
And again we admired the exhibition of 10 Moto Guzzi. Among the models exhibited in Padua were the Sport 500 produced between 1924 and 1928, the Motoleggera 65 Guzzino (1946-1954), the popular Galletto 160/175/192 (1950-1966), the gritty V7 Sport 750 (1971-1974) until MGX-21 1400 (2016-2019).

At Auto e Moto d’Epoca in Padua there was also an area dedicated to the classic model market, which has confirmed itself as the largest in Europe. Among the novelties that could be purchased were those of Gipimotor and of Carrozzeria Scartapatti, who brought 3 fabulous ones to Padua Ferrari: the 250 GT Drogo, the 308 GTB Gr.4 processed by Facetti and the 250 GT Pininfarina Ferrari Classiche certified.
Then there were one of the legendaries Stratos and the very rare FIAT OttoVù from 1953, the second ever built after 6 pre-series, in the largest stand of Dream wheels. Instead, from Holland with Fine Automobiles they arrive Bugatti T37 from 1926, a car that at the time raced in Le Mans, the 1964 Alfa Romeo TZ, and the Bugatti T57C Gangloff special convertible.
AutoLuce exhibited theAlfa Romeo 155 V6 Ti designed to participate in the German DTM championship in the class up to 2.5 liters, with a maximum of 6 cylinders, of regulation D1. In Alfa Romeo team the team had merged Launch rally, which had retired in 1992 with the victory of the constructors’ championship, and the team Alfa Romeo that the previous year had conquered the Italian Superturismo with the 155 GTA.

News also in the world of spare parts. In Padua there were more than 600 specialists in spare parts, companies specializing in car care e restoration craftsmen.
This year, moreover, there was also the Stellantis Heritage Department which sported restored models and spare parts returned to production.

At Auto e Moto d’Epoca 2021 in Padua there was also space for modern cars electric, of the brands Stellantis And Mercedes-Benz. Specifically, Stellantis told 50 years of research merged into the New 500 RED, starting from the innovative concept car Fiat X1 / 23 from 1974.
Mercedes-Benz instead, the pioneer exhibited 190 E Elektro, an experimental model with an electric motor for each of the two rear wheels, presented in Hanover in the 1990s. At the other end of evolution was the flagship EQS. McLaren instead presented in Padua Artura, the House’s first hybrid supercar.

The first of also falls on the line of continuity between past and future Morgan Motor Company to Auto e Moto d’Epoca, the historic English brand that handcrafted sports cars with an unmistakably retro style. Timeless, on the other hand, is the charm of the evergreen Mercedes 190 SL. On display in Padua was the exclusive model owned by Gina Lollobrigida. And more speed and sustainable technology for the stand Bentley, with the Continental GT Speed and the new one Bentayga Hybrid.
Finally, many clubs and historical registers were present at the show with their jewels, such as theAlfa Romeo 6C 2300 L Mille Miglia, the first Superleggera ever, and the secular Lancia Lambda, the first modern car in history. It is the centenary of the car of Vincenzo Lancia which marked the revolution of the automobile industry; three models on display: a sedan, a balloon and a torpedo.
