The images show how a huge piece of ice breaks off the top of the mountain and slides down at great speed.
According to different media, the eventuality did not leave any seriously injured, since the tourists, among whom were nine British and one American, were at a safe distance and two climbers who were in the area only had superficial injuries.
Users in networks relied on what happened to denounce that it is one more effect of climate change in the world, recalling that a few days ago a glacier collapse left at least 11 dead in the Italian Alps.
Impressive avalanche in Kyrgyzstan.
The weakening of glaciers not only implies gradual loss of ice by melting, but also more block detachment by destabilizing the ice mass.
We will have to be increasingly attentive to this type of risk. https://t.co/aSUEuD5Qin– Francisco M Azcárate (@FMAzcarate) July 10, 2022
