The neighborhoods of Santiago el Mayor and El Carmen await the gradual opening of crossings for pedestrians and cars
They remove the walkway that was over the Santiago el Mayor level crossing, which began last Tuesday, June 29. The pedestrian structure allowed the passage between the neighborhood of Santiago el Mayor and El Carmen while progress was made in the burial of the future AVE in the capital.
The Pro Underground Platform videotaped the work of the operators to uninstall the gangway and lower it to the ground thanks to a crane. After the operation, the area is free of metallic structures and, although the works continue, the Platform already celebrates the advances in favor of the burial. After the withdrawal, this and other pedestrian and vehicle crossings will gradually be opened as the other level crossings are eliminated.
