The match between Atlético de Madrid and Inter Milan was extremely entertaining, but the refereeing had a problem and that is that they did not see the attack carried out by the Italian club's forward, Marcus Thuram, on the central defender Stefan Savic.

During the extra time of this second leg in the Round of 16 of the Champions League, the attacker touched inappropriately and, according to the regulations, illegally, the defender who was left on the ground due to said action.

The referee, Szymon Marciniak, had no reaction to this action. The broadcast showed the attack on the noble parts of the Montenegrin footballer, but despite this, it was not reviewed in the VAR either.
