The situation of the Russian soldiers
Some days ago, Ukraine claimed to have captured dozens of Russian troops and images posted by mobile phones have circulated showing bewildered young men in uniform, without their weapons.
Through tears, the soldiers said that they had not been told that they were going to attack “peaceful people who defend their territory.”
According to Ukraine, so far Russia has lost 5,840 soldiers in the first days of the conflict, some of the fastest losses since the Second World War, if the figure is accurate, Putin’s men suffered a defeat while trying to achieve a quick victory, since there was strong resistance from the Ukrainian forces.
However, Russia reports a different figure (498 deaths of Russian soldiers in the war).
Recordings obtained by the British intelligence company ShadowBreak revealed that Russian soldiers have withdrawn after becoming frustrated with the war, indicating that Moscow’s forces appear to be in disarray.

In another video posted on Telegram, soldiers said they were “demoralized” when they realized they were being sent to fight in Ukraine. “They told us that we would be enemies of the state and that, since it is wartime, they could even shoot us if we refused. They shot us like cannon fodder.”
