It was all joy and happiness on the Manchester City bench after Erling Haaland scored his 100th goal for his team, until a 22-year-old called Riccardo Calafiori arrived to spoil the party. The Arsenal Italian left-footer received a pass from Gabriel Martinelli just outside the area and with his left foot he put the ball with first-time intention into the corner of Ederson Moraes’ goal in the 21st minute of the match.
Barely a few years after making his debut in the major leagues of European football, the Italian Calafiori has shown good skills and today he was fortunate to score his first goal in the Premier League under Mikel Arteta, a coach who believed in him from the first minute and who took him to the best league in the world without thinking twice.
Arsenal’s number 33 had only made two appearances for the Gunners and in his third game he scored his first goal. The Italian had already played a few minutes against Aston Villa and Brighton in the Premier League.
