However, Hernández remained in Junior history. In his two stages in the team (2008-2016 and 2023-2024), he played 368 games, scored 65 goals, contributed 35 assists and won four titles: three Leagues (2010-I, 2011-II and 2023-II) and one Colombia Cup (2015).
The farewell of Vladimir Hernández as Chavo del 8
Vladimir wrapped his things in a transparent plastic bag, tied it to a broomstick and began walking towards the locker room door, while his teammates told him ‘Don’t go, Chavo.’
Thus, the Junior footballers recreated one of the iconic scenes from El Chavo del 8, the comedy written, directed and starring Roberto Gómez Bolaños, which was produced for 24 years, from 1971 to 1995, and lasted many more on the air, until a dispute between the comedian’s family and Televisa forced it to be taken off the screens in 2020.
In the scene, Chavo ties his things in a scarf and hangs them from a broomstick, after the residents of the neighborhood accuse him of being a thief. Later, the boy returned, with a clear conscience of being innocent.
