Global consumer spending on video games it will touch 200 billion dollars by the end of 2022, according to a new report from Newzoo analysts. The forecast represents a 5.4 percent increase over last year, and a new all-time high for the digital entertainment industry. Newzoo also expects the mobile gaming market to grow 5 percent from 2021, generating $ 103.5 billion. Console games will earn 57 billion, a growth of 8 percent year-on-year, and those for PC will stop at a plus 2 percent with 41 billion of the 200 total. Newzoo also expects global revenue from video game sales to be $ 222 billion in 2024.
