Since Monday it has looked a lot like the Netherlands in Dubai. And not because the Netherlands is half influential these days, but because of the enormous rainfall. There is so much rain that the wells can no longer keep up. On Wednesday, 25 centimeters of rain fell in one day, causing major flooding. No problem for EV drivers, as it turns out.
The advantage that EVs have – over combustion engine cars – is that they do not need air to function. The fact that the car is largely underwater does not matter to the engine. Even when the car is floating, it still moves forward because the wheels seem to work like a paddle wheel. In theory they could even steer on water.
