A little jealous though. Our biggest catch ever was a Magikarp that not only splashbut also already tackle could – the German police simply fished an entire Audi RS 6 out of the water. This red 605 hp power station was recovered from the Neckar River last Thursday after landing in it on Sunday.
It’s a special story. The driver was in dire need and stopped to pee along the road. When pulling away, he selected the wrong gear and backed into the water. In our opinion, a somewhat exaggerated way to mask that you have been peeing against the wind.
The driver swam to the side
The driver was able to climb out of the Audi’s skylight and swim to the side, but the car drifted further and eventually sank. Because it was unclear exactly where the car was, the river was closed to cargo ships. With a sonar, the Audi RS 6 was eventually found more than three days later at a depth of 2.5 meters.
The Audi RS 6 ends up in the mud
The salvor ties two loops to the rims to lift the car out of the water. It doesn’t happen very carefully, because once on dry land, the RS 6 is laid on its side in the mud. They didn’t have much choice, because the way the car lay on the bottom, not all four hooks could be attached.
Not that it matters much, because the car is finally written off. In that respect, cars are just like people: if you put them under water for a few days, they usually don’t do very well anymore. Anyone need a nice set of rims for their Audi A6?
