The Saudi Al-Nasr Football Club has come a long way in negotiations with Portuguese coach Pedro Martinez, to lead the first football team, to succeed his compatriot Pedro Emmanuel, who was dismissed from his position, according to a Saudi press report today, Sunday.
Al-Midan Al-Riyadi newspaper stated on its Twitter account: The victory administration is making a great stride in negotiations with the Portuguese coach Pedro Martinez, the Greek coach of Olympiakos, after a meeting that took place this Sunday morning in Athens.
The newspaper pointed out that the announcement will be within the next 24 hours. Emmanuel was dismissed from the leadership of the victory team only 40 days after contracting with him.
Pedro Martinez was born in 1970, and led many Portuguese clubs, the most famous of which are Vitoria Guimarães, Maritimo, Rio Ave and Sporting Lisbon, before leaving Olympiacos in 2018, in his first professional experience outside his country.
With Olympiakos, Pedro Martinez scored 125 wins, 32 draws and 29 defeats, in a total of 186 official matches, and won two Greek Super League titles and the Greek Cup once.
