Puerto Rican Sofía Jira, 24, is Victoria’s Secret’s first model with Down Syndrome. The brand’s new collection campaign has 17 models. “From the cast of incredible women who bring the collection to life, to the incredible inclusive spirit of the group, this campaign is an important part of the new Victoria’s Secret standard we are creating,” said Raúl Martinez, Creative Director of Victoria’s Secret, in a statement.
On her Instagram account, Sofia wrote: “One day I dreamed about it, I worked and today it is a dream come true. I am the first Victoria’s Secret model with Down syndrome. Thank you to all of you for always supporting me in my projects.”

Jirau began his career as a model in 2019, and already in 2020, he made his debut at New York Fashion Week, according to g1. The model created the Alavett brand, which, according to her, sells everything. The line’s name was created from the way Jirau spelled “I love it”.
