Videogames Party has launched VGP Playthe first Italian streaming platform dedicated to video games and technology, which aims to tell the story of this world through exclusive video interviews in which the industry's protagonists are given a voice.
In development for four years, VGP Play was thought of as a tribute from video game fans to the figures they created timeless masterpieces capable of giving us endless hours of fun.
The streaming platform currently boasts over fifty hours of exclusive content which will be further enriched every month, within eight different sections:
- The Founders: the charm of discovering directly from their words how the main companies in the sector such as Atari, Activision, Electronic Arts, Naughty Dog, Microprose were born.
- Around the world: Tokyo, Lisbon, Las Vegas; the VGP team travels all over the world to tell you incredible stories.
- The Japanese Masters: we invite you to meet and listen to the most important video game creators and artists we have had the privilege of meeting.
- Women Power: in a world that was thought to be the prerogative of men, we will tell you about the women who have made an enormous contribution to the video game industry, we will get to know the pioneers and their fantastic works.
- Uncle Galla: Stefano Gallarini, historic and authoritative voice on technology and video games, talks about trends, products, and everything that is “tech”, ranging between the past and the future.
- Italian pride: the stories of the Italians who made their way in the world with many innovations and brilliant ideas.
- Gaming Pioneers: we have collected the testimonies of those who created the most innovative technologies and the stories of the visionaries who laid the foundations for the video game industry.
- Technological revolutions: not just video games. We also tell you about all the most important technological revolutions that have contributed to the evolution of this sector: from the birth of the Internet to that of microprocessors, up to the advent of virtual reality.
It didn't end here
That's not all: on VGP Play you will also find the first two episodes of documentary Videogame Legendswhich once complete will include the best of all interviews, extra content and expert insights.
Mobile oriented web, the streaming platform will receive dedicated apps for mobile devices and Smart TVs in the coming months. Access is free and the business model includes advertisements and content sponsored by partners who wish to support the project.
