The Armed Forces of Ukraine (VFU) fired six rockets using the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) at the city of Rubizhne in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR). This was announced by the representative office of the region in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCC) on Monday, September 26.
“From the side of the VFU, shelling was recorded at 00:10 a.m. Rubizhnoye with the use of HIMARS MLRS (six missiles),” the statement says. Telegram channel.

Earlier, on September 23, VFU fired six HIMARS MLRS missiles at Alchevsk. No deaths were reported.
A day earlier, the JCCC reported that the VFU had used more than 10,000 ammunition of various calibers to shell the territory of the LPR since the beginning of the escalation in the Donbass on February 17. In total, according to the statistics of the JCCC, Ukrainian militants carried out 1,128 attacks on the territory of the LPR. It is noted that during these strikes, 378 civilians were injured, of which 95 people died and 283 were injured.
On September 21, Ukrainian nationalists fired on the city of Svatovo from the HIMARS MLRS. The impact killed one person and injured five others. The administrative building and the garage of the Svatovsky division of Luganskgaz were also destroyed.
On February 24, Russia launched a special operation to protect Donbass. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military.
