The Abu Dhabi index rose 0.1 percent, supported by a 10.1 percent jump in Vertiglobe shares, while shares of the International Holding Company, the richest company listed in Abu Dhabi, rose 0.5 percent.
ADNOC announced today, Friday, that it has obtained all regulatory approvals to complete the acquisition of OCI’s stake, amounting to 50 percent + one share, in Vertiglob.
Dubai’s main index continued its gains for the second session in a row, rising 0.1 percent, supported by the rise in the shares of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du) by 2.8 percent after it revealed two new sub-brands, Do Tech and Do Infra.
Also among the winners were Mashreq Bank shares, which advanced 1.3 percent, and Dubai Taxi shares, which rose 2.3 percent.
The Abu Dhabi index rose 0.79 percent and the Dubai index rose 0.88 percent on a weekly basis, according to data from the London Stock Exchange Group.
