Formula 1 2021 is a World Championship marked by a great balance between Red Bull and Mercedes, between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. This balance, evident from the drivers’ standings (only six points divide the two), is not found in the laps conducted in the lead during the 16 Grands Prix so far disputed.

As the graphics of Formula 1 have shown, in fact, the Dutchman is at a good level 469 laps in the lead out of a total of 934. Exactly 50.2%. The rest of the paddock has totaled a total of 465 laps in command, accumulating the laps as leaders of ten drivers: in addition to Hamilton there are Valtteri Bottas, Sergio Perez, Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz, Lando Norris, Daniel Ricciardo, Esteban Ocon, Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel. The others are zero. A fact that will please the Dutch Red Bull, but that we could compare to that of possession in football: the important thing is to score. And Max is fighting against a Hamilton who is not only very good at hiding the ball from you but is also skilled on the counterattack.
