Summer begins and returns to the small screen with the second volume “Twenty20, Twenty Years of 2000”, the original Tv8 production conducted by Alessio Viola. The talk show will go aired in world premiere from 25 June every Friday in the late evening. The goal is one: to retrace and revisit the events that have marked an era since the beginning of the millennium, defining our present. As in the first six episodes, Alessio Viola analyzes the constantly changing reality and everything important that has happened in our lives in these four decades, between social changes, new political and relational dynamics and the delicate relationship between man and the environment.
It starts with #InBodyName: a first episode in which we analyze how the perception of our body has changed, from the sexy calendars of the beginning of the millennium to today’s no-gender struggles, and at the same time how the perception of our aesthetic reference models has changed. These were the years of crazy diets, of extreme surgery, of tattoos as a status symbol, and at the same time of fluid fashion, of battles fought for the overcoming of genders.
On 2 July appointment with #AllSayIHateYou, where attention will be attracted by the season of hatred that characterized the first twenty years of the 2000s, passing from racial hatred, gender, to religious hatred. All amplified by a large collective megaphone, represented by the network, an instrument that, in solitude, feeds anger and a sense of persecution, and, in the most extreme cases, can lead to direct violence.
In #MoneyMoneyMoney, third episode aired on Friday 9 July, at the center of the plot is the radical social change. Thanks to technological progress we have met the new rich (influencers, industry 4.0 and cryptocurrencies) and, unfortunately, due to the pandemic that has overwhelmed us, we have been able to get to know the new poor.
The last episode, entitled #GenerationZ aired on Friday 16 July, finally, he leaves us a question: “To whom will we bequeath the next 20 years? For GenerationZ, that of digital natives, who do not know barriers of gender, race and sexual orientation, completely different from those who preceded them, the time has come to take over the world.
