Vélez refuses to extrapolate the result of the Andalusian elections to the Region of Murcia

The general secretary of the PSRM, José Vélez, rejected the possibility of extrapolating the electoral result in Andalusia to the Region of Murcia because the situation in the Community is, in his opinion, “very negative, unfortunately, in all aspects.”

«Neither the Andalusians come to vote in the Region of Murcia, nor the citizens of the Region of Murcia have voted in the Andalusians. Therefore, it does not have any comparison, “said Vélez. The socialist leader stated that he hopes that next year Murcian society «trusts» the PSOE to govern and, in this way, «advance and get out of the pit in which successive PP governments have plunged us for so many years».

In his opinion, citizens are “tired of so many mistakes that the PP has made.” «There are many years of continuous errors that have led us to a dramatic situation in all aspects: democracy, transparency, participation, economics, tourism, social. In all aspects we are, unfortunately, leading the negative rankings of this country », he added.

He also indicated that his party is “working from the opposition, but also, of course, to gain the trust of the Region of Murcia.” “I am very convinced that if they trust the PSOE we are going to make a lot of progress in a very short time because we are prepared to govern, we have very good ideas for this region,” said the socialist leader, after lamenting that, “unfortunately, we have a government that does not listen to the opposition because for the Government of the Region of Murcia there is no one but them ».

Vélez did not want to comment on whether he would like to run as a candidate for the presidency of the Community in the 2023 elections.
