Vecciarelli, General Figliuolo investigated. "Sartorial dresses as a gift"
The Enzo Vecciarelli case offers a new twist. In the investigation into the Chief of Staff, entered in the register of suspects accused of corruption for the exercise of his function, another high-sounding name appears, - we read in the Fatto Quotidiano - that of the general Francesco Figliuolo, the commissioner for the Covid emergency. The registration of Figliuolo is a due act, for his protection. The investigation is kept in strict confidence: from what little leaks the general has never ended up directly in the interceptions, but others would refer to him in circumstances that concern a period prior to his appointment by the government. Dragons. In the coming weeks, the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office will file a request for archiving, in the meantime, however, the commissioner is still registered. Il Fatto also asked - through the press office - some clarifications from the extraordinary commissioner, but we have not received an answer.
The investigation in which Figliuolo is being investigated - the Fact continues - is the one that also involves Enzo Vecciarelli, the Chief of Staff is accused of corruption for the exercise of his function. According to the initial accusations, Vecciarelli in his capacity as a public official would have made himself available to a company supplying masks and machinery for the production and packaging of masks. Facilitating the customs clearance of 600,000 masks to the Armed Forces. In exchange Vecciarelli would have received benefits for himself and his family consisting of "the donation of food and 58 items of clothing". And the indictment cites: "Tailored suits, coats, wedding dress, jackets, shirts and uniforms".
