Not a very happy time for Vampire The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 it was one of the most anticipated games of 2021 until it was postponed due to the change of developer – initially Hardsuit Labs – and the pandemic situation. However the roleplay of Paradox it was about to be canceled at its most critical moment, according to company CEO Fredrik Wester.
“When we took the game away from the original team we had a long overhaul in case we needed to cancel it or continue further. We were ready to completely shut down production, but we received a proposal that convinced us enough to continue“says Wester, who is confident he has a good game on his hands that meets the expectations of fans.
In this same interview Wester states that whether Bloodlines 2 is successful or not will affect future Paradox titles. “I’d like to see a good reception for Bloodlines before betting heavily on the genre. There is a great desire to see good games in the role and of course I don’t want to close any doors. But I want to see what happens, what we can do and how Bloodlines 2 will be welcomed“.
Vampire The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is currently in development and does not yet have an official release date.
