Real Valladolid announced in the early hours of this Sunday, December 1, the dismissal of the Uruguayan Paulo Pezzolano as coach of the team after 70 official matches over three seasons.
The football club reported the coach’s dismissal in a statement in which it also thanked him for his “performance as a Blanquivioleta” and wished him “the best of luck in his new personal and professional stage.”
Valladolid is bottom with 9 points after 15 games
The announcement came after Real Valladolid lost 0-5 on Saturday against Atlético de Madrid, in a League match that was played at the José Zorrilla Stadium.
Pezzolano arrived to lead the team at the end of the 2022-2023 season, when it was in the First Division and replacing José Rojo ‘Pacheta’. Real Valladolid was then relegated to the Second Division, although it managed to be promoted again to the First Division for the current campaign, in which it has 9 points in the League after 15 games played and several defeats.
