The Spanish club Valencia unveiled the features of its stadium project, which will bear the name of the “New Mestalla” stadium, which will begin work on its construction in a very special season, witnessing the “bats” celebration of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of its current stadium, “Mestalla”, which will gradually start the farewell ceremony. Until the completion of the new stadium in 2024.
The agreement to promote the League, which was signed by the League clubs and the investment fund CVC, allowed the implementation of many investment projects and these clubs taking important steps forward in terms of infrastructure, human capital, digital transformation and international spread, among other areas, and evidence of this can be seen through The new stadium that Valencia is looking to invest in, as the new venue has better features and capacity than the current Mestalla stadium.
The construction of this new stadium for LaLiga represents another step in the development of the club at the national and international levels, in the words of Javier Tebas, president of La Liga, who said: We are convinced that the new stadium is a great initiative for Valencia that will give him greater visibility at the national level. and international. We know that they presented a very comprehensive project to the local and regional institutions, after obtaining the approval of the technical team in La Liga. That is why we are confident that all those involved – the institutions, the media and the community in Valencia in general – will push for the completion of this stadium so essential to the club, which will be beneficial to all.
The various projects proposed by the clubs as part of the La Liga promotion agreement are set to bear fruit soon, which will contribute to the modernization of the sports sector, and as Tebas added: After signing the agreement with CVC, we already have part of this economic injection. For this reason, in the case of Valencia CF, once the administrations grant them the relevant permits, they will be able to count on the cash from the La Liga promotion agreement. This will allow them to start construction work in the last quarter of 2022 and finish in 2024.
The new stadium planned by Valencia CF will have more services and capacity than the current stadium in Mestalla. This is an investment the club has been planning for a long time and now requires only the necessary permits, to become a reality on the ground.
The La Liga promotion agreement enables clubs to increase their capabilities and transform their management models, leading to a more attractive competition, and in light of this, many other initiatives proposed by clubs and sports companies in Spanish football have begun to visualize their plans for the coming period throughout Spain.
