About 2,000 Valencia fans protested this Monday against the president of the club, Peter Lim. The Valencian fans met before the duel between Valencia and the Unión Deportiva Las Palmas to complain about the management of the entity and show your support for Dani and Mireiathe couple who were detained in Singapore for carrying anti-Lim messages and placing a sticker on the door of one of their properties.
“Lim dictator”, “Whore Singapore”, or “Dani and Mireia, lololololo”were some of the chants that were heard near Mestalla during the concentration, organized by the Libertad VCF collective, before the duel on matchday ten of the League, in which Valencia is playing to get out of the relegation zone.
A dynamic that has been repeated during the last campaigns and that has made the protests of Valencianism constant around the figure of Lim, who joined Valencian shareholders a decade ago and who in the last five years has focused on sell your best players at the same time as has barely reinforced a weakened squadfull of young footballers right now.
The Valencian fans have also raised posters with the premise ‘Lim go home’ (‘Lim go home’, in Spanish), the same text that could be read on the flag that Dani Cuesta carried on his trip to Singapore, where he was detained after publishing several photos in different enclaves of the city-state with said banner and a video in which he placed a sticker with that same claim on the door of one of his properties. Finally, the fan and his partner returned to Valencia after receiving a warning.
With the team nineteenth on matchday ten, Libertad VCF asks for Lim’s departure from Valencia after five years without entering European competitions, the same years in which Lim has barely invested to change that dynamic of the Valencian entity and has focused on balancing balances.
