In view of the need and interest that young people have support When going through a stressful or difficult life situation, the Technological University of Torreón (UTT) ceraised a collaboration agreement with the Lagunera Association of Thanatology (Alatac), which will allow the university community professional support through Accompaniment Groups.
The agreement was signed by the rector of the institution Raúl Martínez Hernández and Beatriz Acosta Ortiz, founding president of Alatac, as well as by Gloria Irene Ibarra Vitela, treasurer of Alatac, and Jaqueline Dávila Silva, deputy director of Academic Services of UTT.
In information shared by the UTT, it explains that the objective of this link is promote the well-being and mental health of the university community, with the ability to cope with stress and difficulties in life.
It also states that, as well as if necessary, receive preparation to cope with the suffering and pain caused by the loss of loved ones, or also in the care of people with terminal illness and their families.
As part of the agreement the conference was presented where the Accompaniment Groups were invited, which was taught in the morning shift by President Beatriz Acosta, and for the evening shift was presented by Elida Reyna Sifuentes.
The UTT-Alatac Accompaniment Groups will be for the entire university community and They will start on August 9 in the university facilities.
