If Donald Trump still does not recognize Joe Biden’s victory in the US presidential election, it is only becoming clearer day by day. The Georgian authorities confirmed, Thursday, November 19, the victory of the Democratic candidate after a recount of the votes.
The initial count only gave Joe Biden some 14,000 votes in advance, a gap so narrow (less than 0.5 point) that it allowed the Trump camp to call for a hand recount.
At the end of it, the gap narrowed slightly, but remains in favor of the Democrat, with now a little more than 12,200 votes in advance.
The difference between the two candidates is still very thin, President Donald Trump can however request a new recount, said a statement from the office of the Secretary of State of Georgia, in charge of the organization of the elections.
Joe Biden’s victory in this traditionally Republican state is one of the most symbolic for the future president, and he was one of the key states on election night, but the Democratic candidate has finally reached a number of large voters more than enough to l ‘take away even without Georgia.
