The Secretary of State of the United States (USA), Antony Blinken, admitted this Sunday (6) that the country has information about war crimes committed by Russia during the invasion of the territory of Ukraine.

“We have seen reports of deliberate attacks against civilians, which could be war crimes,” said the diplomat’s chief, in an interview with the American broadcaster “CNN”.

Blinken also stated that the US is documenting all the details received, to ensure that institutions dedicated to investigating crimes of this nature have all the necessary evidence. Earlier this week, US President Joe Biden had already accused Russia of intentionally bombing civilians.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, for his part, said last Friday (4) that he had information on the use of cluster bombs, which are especially devastating against the civilian population, since before the impact with the ground, randomly release large numbers of small artifacts. At the request of some 40 countries, the International Criminal Court (ICC) Prosecutor’s Office opened an investigation against Russia for war crimes and crimes against humanity.
