The Italian automotive industry is focusing strongly on Maserati. Word of Adolfo Urso, Minister of Business and Made in Italy, who on the sidelines of the table on the Stellantis plant in Modena reiterated how the Trident car manufacturer will certainly be one of the strong points of the Italian-French group’s production in international markets.
Urso bets on Maserati
“We we asked that the research and development center is strengthened, that the extraordinary supply chain of related industries is guaranteed also in the new electric models in the transition towards sustainability and that the employment levels that are so important and significant are maintained for those factories too”, Urso’s words taken up by Ansa. The minister then added that Stellantis has confirmed its willingness to invest in research and development new modelscharacterized by different engines that go beyond pure electric.
Technological neutrality
“I believe in the possibility that in the Modena plant the path of EV models will be developed on the one hand and that of ICE models on the other – concluded Urso – In this double track of Maserati’s development there is also our Country project in the car sector. We undoubtedly want to increase the production of electric cars, maintaining, preserving and relaunching that of the internal combustion engine with any ecologically sustainable fuel that will be activated. We firmly believe that this vision of technological neutrality should characterize all the work of the new EU Commission and other institutions”.
