The Gresini rider is satisfied with the material he has
“I tried to pass him for 15 laps”. Marc Marquez during the Italian Grand Prix he tried to overtake Enea Bastianini for two thirds of the race and then managed to do so while braking at San Donato. Regarding the difficulty in dealing with a Ducati GP24 on a straight line, the Gresini rider underlined a significant aspect.
“I was against the fastest GP24 because Enea Bastianini has a very aerodynamic riding position – explained Marquez – plus he has always done the last corner very well, never making mistakes at that point”.
Regarding potential updates to his bike during this season, Marquez responded as follows: “The good thing is that Ducati was very clear when I signed with Gresini, that is, that the technical package that I would have had available would have been the one I have and therefore I will never complain. If something were to arrive it would be a gift. We have to focus on what we have available and be able to get the most out of it. However, the results say that in terms of performance there is not much difference between the two bikes, it depends on the tracks, for now we have always been very close to Bagnaia and Martin who have been the most consistent riders in terms of performance”.
