The traffic police of Meerut has made CA a ‘Superman’. Police contend that when the crane was carrying the car, the CA ran away and climbed into the car hanging in the air. Vikrant Tyagi, a resident of Chanakyapuri, is a BSP leader and chartered accountant. He is also a contractor in many companies including Railways, GAIL, BSNL. On Wednesday, Vikrant’s car was lifted from outside the Metro Hospital by a traffic police crane and brought it to the police line. At that time Vikrant was also sitting in the car.
Inspector Sunil Kumar Singh of the traffic police said on Thursday that the control room was informed that a car was parked outside the hospital. An ambulance cannot be removed from this. At this notice the crane went and lifted the car. As soon as the crane moved away, the car owner arrived. He opposed the action of the traffic police. The inspector said that the police wanted to cut the challan there, but the car owner was not ready to agree on it. He also committed indecency with the policemen. He then forcibly climbed into the moving car and came to the police line.

The owner was not in the car, will be sitting later: SP
At the same time, SP Traffic Jitendra Kumar Srivastava said that a traffic inspector was sent to the spot to investigate the whole episode. They saw footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby. This showed that the ambulance was obstructed by the car. However, Vikrant Tyagi was not sitting in the car at that time. He said that it was not known when he sat in the car.
Car lifts four feet from crane
The crane is mounted on the DCM carriage. When the car is lifted, the front wheel of the car rises about three to four feet. The car also turns crooked. In such a situation, it is not possible for a person to sit in a car hanging on a crane.
Footage before action
Traffic police have footage showing Vikrant Tyagi’s car parked in front of an ambulance, but he is not present in the car. Police did not make the footage public when the crane came to lift the car and the entire action took place.
Crane picks up external numbers of vehicles
The traffic police have three cranes. These were purchased so that no carriage obstructs the way. The rule was made at that time to only pick up the car, which is standing on the way or causing the jam. In this also, if someone is sitting in the car, it will not be picked up. Forgetting these rules, cranes are busy just completing the challan task. In Meerut, this crane mostly picks up vehicles that are of non-district number.
