“Max has disappeared” (1995)
The scenes of this film were recorded entirely in our country and bring us closer to Max, a 12-year-old boy who accompanies his family on vacation to the ruins of Machu Picchu.
The young man is not very happy about the presence of Rebeca, his father’s girlfriend, and leaves them to visit the Inca citadel by his side. At that moment, a man who seems to be running away from someone falls into the void.
When Max comes to his aid, the man, almost dying, hands him an object and a message that he cannot decipher until he asks the tour guide for help. Suddenly the journey becomes much more exciting and dangerous.

“The Secret of the Incas” (1954)
Directed by Jerry Hopper, “The Secret of the Incas” presents us with an Inca legend, under which an adventurer arrives at Machu Picchu, motivated by his thirst for greatness and money. Clearly, the locals weren’t going to let him get away with it, so the story becomes a war between ancestral legacy and personal interests.
