Crystal Dunn, a resident of Louisville, Kentucky, was in for a surprise after learning she had won a fortune in the state lottery. The woman assured her that it is not common for her to participate in this type of raffle.
On July 7, Dunn was in the comfort of his home one night watching television. To entertain himself for a while, he decided to bet $20 on an online game called Bank Buster Jackpot Instant Play. and administered by the Kentucky Lottery.

A few seconds later, a message appeared on the screen of his cell phone stating that he had just won $147,000. The mother of three children ran to tell the little ones, still not believing what had happened.
“I saw that and didn’t believe it at first… It’s quite an exciting feeling. I never thought I’d win something like this, but this shows it can happen,” Dunn told The Washington Post.
In Colombian currency, the woman earned about 584 million pesos. However, after deduction of taxes, the sum was 103 thousand dollars, approximately 400 million in Colombia.
“I have worked hard for everything I have had. This is an amazing gift and I think it should be given back” she explained.
Upon learning of her victory, the woman immediately thought about how she could divide her earnings between necessities and helping others.

What did you do with the money?
Crystal Dunn had an atypical childhood for most children. From the age of nine she was in state foster homes until she was 16, when she finally ran away and has taken care of herself ever since.
Even with so many difficulties, he managed to enter a university where he supported himself financially and found a job in health services.
This is why when he found out about his prize, he wanted to share some of his fortune with strangers who might need it. Crystal drove to the nearest grocery store and bought 20 gift cards worth $100 each.
The woman spent two thousand dollars, approximately eight million pesos, in aid. He distributed the cards to people he met in the market and assured them that it was a gift.
The strangers who were shopping did not understand why they were given something of such value out of the blue. The woman herself had to stop to tell them that she wanted to give back and thank her in some way for her good luck.
With what he has left, Dunn has said he plans to buy a new car and invest in some home improvements.
