Pakistani police announced on Sunday that seven workers were shot dead in the southwest of the country in an area witnessing violence carried out by gunmen.
The workers, who migrated to Balochistan province from Punjab province to work, were attacked in the Pangkor area during the night.
“Seven workers were killed and another was injured,” said Moazzam Jah Ansari, Balochistan police chief stationed in Quetta, the largest city in the province.
During the attack, the gunmen stopped cars on the highway and killed some of their passengers.
From time to time, Pakistan witnesses attacks carried out by militants targeting security forces and civilians.
