Tom Holland recently mentioned that he would love to star in a Jak and Daxter. Although this was only taken as a wish of the actor, it seems that this could well be a reality in the future, since Reuben fleischerUncharted film director, is working with Sony on an adaptation of Jak and Daxter.
In an interview with Digital Trends, Fleischer revealed that he is currently in an adaptation of Jak and Daxter. At the moment it is unknown if he is talking about a series, movie, live action or animated. This was what he commented:
“I’m actually working on Jak and Daxter, a PlayStation version of that, which I think would be really cool to bring to life.”
This is not the first time something like this has happened. In 2013, Blockade Entertainment announced a Jak and Daxter and Sly Cooper animated movie, but neither of these projects came to fruition. It is currently unknown if Fleischer’s adaptation is related to this previous attempt.or is it something completely new.
For its part, Sony has issued a statement about it, and they probably won’t for the time being. On related topics, this was what Tom Holland mentioned regarding the Jak and Daxter movie.
Editor’s Note:
Considering that Sony is bringing PlayStation properties to film and television, a Jak and Daxter-related job doesn’t sound like an entirely outlandish thing. We would only need to see who would be involved in this project.
