Following the recent trailer concerning Spider-Man: No Way Home, Sony has recently shown a new clip of Uncharted during CinemaCon, where young Nathan Drake, played by Tom Holland, is seen crashing from a plane. The clip was broadcast within the event but was not posted on external channels.
Contrary to the short images released some time ago, these new images see Nathan Drake as the protagonist, who will be thrown from a flying plane, will enter a cave and will participate in an auction. This last event, however, seems to be linked to past images, where Victor “Sully” Sullivan, played by Mark Wahlberg, participates in the sale of some kind of object.
The film is scheduled for release on February 18, 2022, after some delays we told you about, and it seems to be a concentrate of action, intrigue, mystery and treasures to discover. The continuity with the saga is therefore confirmed, with situations that closely follow the videogame experience, however, going to temporally place many years earlier.
In fact, as already confirmed by the cast, the story is set even before the events of the first game, when Nathan and Sully still didn’t quite know each other. The same actor, also involved in filming the Spider-Man movie, had also confirmed that he had some things wrong during filming, precisely because of the two projects so close.
Similar to the success of the upcoming Spider-Man movie, Sony hasn’t released an official trailer or teaser yet, leaving all fans eagerly awaiting. This short teaser that appeared during CinemaCon, however, could anticipate a hypothetical trailer, which could be released in the coming months.
We currently have no official information if not the release date, scheduled for next February 18th in cinemas. In the cast, along with the two actors, will also be present Sophia Taylor in the role of Chloe Frazer.
