As recently stated by an insider Uncharted 5 may be currently in development for PS5, continuing the famous PlayStation-exclusive adventure saga. To say it is precisely Foxy, content creator and insider, who in a tweet expresses his opinion on the matter, without however releasing further comments.
While most audiences look forward to the Nathan Drake movie, seeing the trailer multiple times to find all the easter eggs and references, content creator, YouTuber and insider FoxyGames reveals that a new chapter is currently in development, this time only for PlayStation 5. The famous saga ended with the fourth chapter, which saw the end of the adventures of Nathan Drake.
Following the fourth game, a spin-off was released, who seemed to want to continue the saga using the other characters, which, however, has never been followed by a new title, at least until now. It therefore seems that the saga will continue, most likely without Nathan Drake, and that it will be exclusively on PlayStation 5.
For the moment the only way to be able to play the whole saga on next-generation consoles and the Legacy of Thieves Collection, announced last September during the PlayStation Showcase, which will bring the entire saga to PC as well. At the moment Naughty Dog or Sony have not released official statements regarding the future of the series, most likely due to the release of the film in 2022.

The Uncharted series is alive and well. A new game is in development for PS5.
We just have to wait for the official status of Uncharted 5 for PS5, although Naughty Dog will most likely not reveal the title for another months, given the upcoming release of the collection of all games. Meanwhile, if we want to see new adventures with Nathan Drake we just have to go to the cinema on February 18, 2022, as revealed in the official trailer.
